Does your dog need something new to learn? Want something exciting to show when friends and family come to visit? Then try our parlor tricks and clicker training class. We will discuss and train using a clicker to positively reinforce behavior. Parlor tricks often involve multiple steps to teach, so the clicker is an optimal tool to mark the moment of the desired behavior. Capturing is a training method that refers to reinforcing a behavior by capturing (clicking) it as it occurs. It is the same method trainers use to train dolphins and whales. During this class we will introduce and condition dogs to the clicker. We will also train behaviors such as "sit-up", "take a bow", "act shy", and several other dog tricks.
