Housetraining
Housetraining is the number one behavior that we all want our dogs to learn, but sometimes teaching it can be difficult. The average person doesn't have all day to follow a puppy around waiting to rush it outside at the first sign that the dog has to go. Taking this into consideration, many products have been created to help your puppy/dog communicate it's needs in a way that you understand and we carry a large number of those products.
Here are some common questions about housetraining:
How do I get my puppy on a schedule?
How do I know when my puppy has to go outside?
My puppy doesn't bark, how can I know when he's waiting at the door?
Why does my puppy run outside then right back in and go to the bathroom on the floor?
Why does my dog play outside for 20 mins them pee in the house/Why does my dog pee/poop outside then pee/poop in the house?
I've heard that (my puppy's breed) is the hardest to potty train, is this true?
A quick side note: There are different schools of thought on the subject of breed specific issues relating to housetraining, but it does seem to be that Yorkies have the hardest time learning to go outside.
