Pavlov’s experiment taught us that we can trigger a response with any given stimulus by relating the stimulus with something that provokes the desired response. Keeping this in mind, we create an association between the clicker and treats to make the dog understand that the clicker is a reward. Treats activate the pleasure sensor of the dog’s brain, and by associating the clicker with treats, the clicker can then activate the pleasure sensor of the dog’s brain. This makes it easier to reward at a distance and mark a behavior as correct much faster than with a treat.

Keep in mind that the click sound is a conditioned reinforce and has no meaning by itself.

Misty Pines clickers are available in Green, Blue and Red.

All Clickers come with a black lanyard.
