Dog Daycare

Professional Doggie Daycare ”Our job is dog‘s play”

Dog Park Daycare, Doggie Daycare

Doggie Daycare

While you are hard at work, running errands, cleaning the house, or even getting ready for that big event in your life, try our outdoor doggie daycare. Doggie daycare is a fun day where you bring your dog to socialize, romp and run, splash in the wading pool, fetch and chew toys and balls with other social friendly dogs and our professional staff. Daycare offers dogs an opportunity to continually develop and instill great social skills, build confidence and tolerances, and gives your dog a wonderful outlet to exercise and interact. “A well exercised and tired dog is a good dog”.

Your dog can scamper and romp all day in a safe and friendly atmosphere at our professional facility. After a fun filled day at daycare, your dog will be as exhausted as you are at the end of the day so you can relax and cuddle with them in the evening. It will alleviate the pressure and guilty feelings you have with the responsibilities of taking the time out for your dog’s exercise.

Benefits of Doggie Daycare

There are so many benefits your dog receives from daycare. Daycare can eliminate and alleviate destructive behavior problems and separation anxiety. It gets very active dogs and puppies out of the home, allowing them an outlet for excess energy until they mature and learn house manners. Puppies receive many additional benefits apart from great exercise. The best way a puppy can learn to inhibit its biting behavior is by rough-housing and play nipping with other dogs. The other puppies and dogs will let them know when they are exerting too much pressure on them. Once a dog has developed some degree of inhibition of the force of its bites, it will become much more tractable and its biting behavior towards humans will be easier to control. A dog that enjoys regular doggie daycare is less likely to attack its owner or to develop other behavior problems.

Once a dog is well established in a regular dog daycare, owners will notice that their puppies and dogs develop favorite playmates and special friendships. Human friendships develop from doggie daycare as well. Many of our clients make special arrangements in order for their dog’s special friends to come and play on the same days.

A well socialized dog will readily interact and play with other dogs. Certainly, dogs have differences of opinions and have occasional spats amongst one another but these should only be minor episodes in their lives. Once they quickly resolve their differences, life resumes as usual. A dog that is well socialized rarely harbors animosity and would rather have fun sniffing and playing, than quarrel.

Vaccination Requirements for Dog Boarding, Cat Boarding and Dog Daycare: All dogs at Misty Pines Dog Park Company must be current on Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella (Bordetella every 6 months) vaccinations. All dogs must have received inoculations at least 14 days prior to their visit to Misty Pines. The waiting period will allow your dog to build optimal immunity to the vaccinations which will make your dog less susceptible to catching or transferring any unwanted viruses. This includes new and updated vaccinations. Your pet cannot be over due for vaccinations - NO EXCEPTIONS. For example, if your pet is scheduled to visit Misty Pines on May 14 and received vaccinations on May 9, we cannot accept your pet due to the insufficient 14 day waiting period. Please fax records to the Misty Pines office at (412) 367-PETS (7387). Administration of the bordetella intranasal vaccination is available at Misty Pines for $15. Please call to schedule an appointment.

The waiting periods vary due to the length of duration and points of contact at the facility.
