Distraction, Distance, Duration and...
Misty Pines Dog Park Company will be holding the August 19th Growl Class and All Levels Class in North Park at the Pie Traynor Field. Class will be meeting at the North Park Swimming Pool parking lot at 6:30 PM. Please bring all of your usual tools needed for class and be sure to have a treat bag filled with your dog’s most favorite treats. You may want to skip feeding your dog dinner this day to ensure you have your dog’s full attention. Please sign up and prepay in advance $14.

Misty Pines proudly sponsors their own dog adoption program, titled DAF (Dogs Adopted for Friendship) This is a wonderful dog adoption service networking with the Western PA Humane Society.
We do not currently have a dog available for adoption, but if you are interested in adopting a dog we highly recommend the Humane Society of Western Pennsylvania. Click here to view all of their dogs for adoption.
Rascal was adopted by a couple while he was being showcased at the boatshow in Pittsburgh. During Rascal's 5 month stay at Misty Pines he was in our training program and received over 100 hours of training. The crowd was impressed by his obedience and skills while out in a public place.

Rascal’s History:
Rascal was dropped off at the Western PA
Humane Society on August 12, 2006. His
original owner gave him up because they
lost their job and had to move. He lived
with a family with children ages 12, 2,
and 1, a male dog, and a cat.
Rascal stayed at the shelter
until September 13 when
he was chosen to come
to Misty Pines. While at
Misty Pines he will receive
daily obedience training and be cared for. Rascal loves toys and plays very nicely with people and other dogs. He is a great dog that deserves a great home. |
